Tandem Social is a consultancy service for social projects and businesses that have positive social impact and transformation, collective equity, or environmental sustainability as their aim.
Symbiont and Tandem worked in partnership to deliver an exciting programme encouraging young people to develop innovative solutions to the rising youth unemployment levels in Spain. The programme, Social Entrepreneurship for Youth Inclusion (E-Social for short) brought together eight young social entrepreneurs from Liverpool and eightfrom Barcelona to work together toward developing solutions.
Funded by Erasmus+, the programme enabled young people to visit their counterparts in Barcelona and Liverpool to discuss issues of youth unemployment, discuss potential solutions, visit social enterprises addressing youth unemployment, and work together over an eight month period to develop proposals. The proposals were then presented to charities and social enterprises in the UK and Spain as potential methods of addressing youth unemployment.
